What is the holiday apartment licensing moratorium?
Since August 2025, the Malaga City Council has approved a three-year moratorium during which no new licenses will be granted for tourist apartments in the city.
Does this affect existing apartments?
No. The moratorium only limits the granting of new licenses. Apartments already licensed, such as those of Holidays for u, continue to function normally.
Can I still book with Holidays for u?
Yes. All our apartments have a valid license and are available for your stays in Malaga without any change.
Will my booking be cancelled for this measure?
Not at all. Your reservations are secure and you can enjoy your accommodation with total peace of mind.
Will prices be changed by the moratorium?
The moratorium does not affect apartment rates. At Holidays for u we continue to offer competitive and transparent prices.
What happens after the three-year moratorium?
The municipality will assess the situation and decide whether to renew, amend or lift the measure. Meanwhile, the apartments already in operation, such as ours, continue to operate without restrictions.
